Born, raised, and living in New Mexico, Erin Smith has been drawing and writing comics and stories since she was five years old. She joined the U.S. Army in 2005 as a multimedia illustrator to broaden her worldview. With her unusual job, she gained experience in expressing purpose and storytelling for the military. After earning a couple of degrees in Illustration and Marketing, she left active duty in 2012 to continue her service in the New Mexico Army National Guard as an officer. A free spirit and creator, Erin loves doing freelance work in illustration, writing, and web design.
She continues her service currently as a company commander for the Public Affairs Detachment in Santa Fe, NM.
